Show off your skills and your competitive deck and play against your fellow illumineers! 10.30am to 8pm On the day: - Store opens at 10:00. - Players' Registration 10:30. - Tournament starts 11:00 - Event ends 20:00 What do I need to know and bring? Your best competitive AND legal deck! The event is played as a Swiss Style Tournament in which Illumineers play over a number of rounds against others with a similar running score, but not against the same opponents several times. How to construct your deck: - English language cards - 60-card minimum - 2 ink colours maximum - No more than 4 copies of any single card Prizes! - 2 boosters per player will be added to the prize pool for positive win records (3+). - 1 booster will be given to each participating player. - 1 'Rapunzel - Escaping the Tower' promo will be given to each participant - 1 'Rapunzel - Escaping the Tower' Foil promo will be given to the Top 8 players. - 1 Sully and Mike Playmat will be awarded to the Champion. - There will be addtional goodies given away in a raffle just before the Top Cut begins! How does a Swiss Tournament with a Top 8 cut work? In a Swiss Style Tournament Illumineers play over a number of rounds against others with a similar running score, but not against the same opponents several times. The final round will be a 'power paired' playoff phase consisting of elimination rounds. In greater detail, power pairings involve 1st Seed playing against the 2nd Seed if possible. If not, due to playing previously, they will instead be paired against the 3rd Seed. This logic cascades until all players are paired and is deterministic meaning it will be the same every time it is calculated.
