Magic Academy: Learn to Play

🎴 Learn to Play Magic: The Gathering! 🎴 New to Magic: The Gathering or interested in learning how to play? Join us for a beginner-friendly Learn to Play MTG event at The Wandering Mystic! The event begins at 6:00 PM and will run for approximately 2 hours. We’ll walk players through the basics of Magic, including how cards work, the flow of a turn, combat, and playing your first games. We’ll also help players set up the Magic: The Gathering Companion App, which is used for event registration, pairings, and organized play. Each participant will receive a Magic deck to learn with and take home after the event! Limited seats are available, so advance registration is strongly recommended. After the Learn to Play session, players are welcome to stick around and join our evening Commander play. Don’t have a Commander deck yet? No problem — we’ll have loaner/rental decks available for the evening so you can keep playing and experience another side of Magic!
