The tunnels beneath the Misty Mountains are shifting, the goblins are closing in, and no Commander pod knows what waits around the next corner! Players should bring a complete Commander deck and prepare for casual multiplayer games featuring the Goblin Town Encounter Deck. Before each game period, two Encounter cards will be placed face down. A player will choose one without viewing either card, and the selected Encounter will introduce a special rule affecting every pod for the entire game. For the first game, the chooser will be selected randomly. For each subsequent game, one of the previous game’s pod winners will select between the next two face-down Encounters. Both cards are then set aside, ensuring that no Encounter repeats during the event. Encounters may alter combat, reward color identity, unleash Goblin tokens, create Treasure, revive fallen creatures, or introduce other unexpected effects. Normal Commander rules apply unless the active Encounter specifically changes them.
