It's time for 2026 Mid-Year Celebration for Pokémon VGC at Salmons Toymaster! As alternative formats are allowed for mid-year, and this will be the first VGC event in Ballinasloe and the west of Ireland, we are going to be running a custom format to pay homage to the history of Ballinasloe being intertwined with horses, and the world famous Ballinasloe horse fair.... You guessed it - It's time for some Horsing around! Regulation: M - B Double Battle format. Only Pokémon that can learn High Horsepower in Pokémon Champions are permitted Pokémon are NOT required to KNOW High Horsepower, just have the ability to learn it Open Teamsheet, Best of 3 Games played in Pokémon Champions Mega Evolution is permitted! Signups begin at 11:30AM, and the bracket starts 12PM. Please fill out team sheets before hand and bring them on the day. Team sheets can be filled out at the venue so long as they are handed in before the bracket starts. Pokémon Champions on Nintendo Switch (Switch/Switch Lite/Switch 2) and Mobile (Android or iPhone) are allowed for this event! Please bring your own Switch or mobile device! If you do not have your own device you will not be allowed to enter. Please bring a charger just in case you run low during the event! Free can of non-alcoholic beverage included with entry fee. Prize pool will be generated from player entry fees and split amongst top finishers in each age division. Official Pokémon Champions notebooks will also be awarded to the winner of each age division. To celebrate this being the first VGC event at Salmons Toymaster - there will also be a raffle amongst all participants for a €15 Nintendo eShop Voucher. Limited to 24 spaces. First come first serve.
