Pauper Commander (PDH) is a casual, budget-friendly variant of the Commander format that combines the structure of Commander with the rarity restrictions of Pauper. Rules Deck size is a 1 commander plus 99 cards (100 total) The commander must be an uncommon creature, vehicle, or spacecraft (legendary or non-legendary) The 99 other cars must be common in at least one set Start with 30 life in multiplayer; 25 life in 1v1 Lose after taking 16 combat damage from the same commander Commander tax is the same: +2 generic mana each time you cast your commander after the first All non-basic lands must match your commander’s color identity
