The greatest treasure beneath the Lonely Mountain is waiting to be claimed—but possessing the Arkenstone may make you the greatest target at the table! Heart of the Mountain is a special casual Commander event in which players compete for control of the legendary Arkenstone. The first player to deal combat damage to another player becomes its first owner and receives the Arkenstone emblem. Other players can steal the Arkenstone by dealing combat damage to its current owner. The player possessing it receives special bonuses, but must also survive the attention of every other player at the table. During the upkeep of the player who controls the Arkenstone, that player increases their ownership count by one. Ownership progress is not lost if another player steals the Arkenstone. The first player to reach an ownership count of three wins the game. Players should bring a complete Commander deck. Normal Commander rules apply except where modified by the Arkenstone emblem and the event’s special rules.
